I was bad yesterday.
Angie and I went to Seattle - I had some returns to do at J.Crew for my show.
In the mall downtown there is a Tiffany's right beside J.Crew. Heh heh. Do you know where this is going?
Now don't get me wrong there is a Tiffany's or two in Vancouver and I have gone inside. But I have never stayed to long for fear that the security guards could scan my bank accounts and credit cards though my purse and have me promptly escorted from the building when they realize I am never going to be able to make a purchase in their store.
This time Angie and I talked to the salepeople.
OOPS.
Once again let me reiterate a previous post.
I AM NOT ENGAGED. THERE IS NO DATE FOR A WEDDING. Aside from my own blabbling - THERE HAS BEEN NO DISCUSSION ABOUT UPCOMING NUPTIALS WITH THE DICTATOR.
The saleslady showed us many pretty rings. We discussed the prices. Angie commented on a nice one and the next thing we knew we were holding a $20,000 ring in our hands. heh heh heh. Oops. It was pretty. We put it down as it was scary. Then Angie picked out another one. (She is the devil incarnate when it comes to shopping - have I ever mentioned that before? A terrible influence on my bank account.) This one was smaller and had a much nicer price tag. Only $9000.
It had the highest rating in color - a D, it was .75 carats, it was nearly flawless (can't quite remember the actual number on the scale) It sparkled real pretty. The lady said we had to try it on to see if it even suited our hands. Angie made me do it. It is all her fault. I put it on and it fit, then the lady got out a mirror and even made me hold my hand up to look at it from a distance. It was sparkly. I've noticed that tiffany diamonds are WAY more sparkly then other diamonds? Anyone else noticed this phenomenon??? Sigh. Anyways it was nice.
So yah. We brought home a little book for the dictator and I left it on his pillow last night. Real subtle eh?

platinum, princess cut, knife (?) band - can't remember the exact term and I can't remember the setting.....
ReplyDeleteooooooooh, pretty.
ReplyDeleteummm.... have you ever seen Blood Diamond? Do you know how diamonds are mined ? There is only one company that markets them (and oh so successfully) so they really have NO resale value- yes they are shiny but so is cubit zirconia! Don't buy into it! Get an engagement chandelier instead!
ReplyDeleteOoh. Pretty. I love the knife edge / cut of the band. VERY chic!
